They both feature a titanium cup face and crown and ultra heavy tungsten sole that is combo-brazed, but that's where the similarities end. The Tour Edge Exotics XCG-4 Fairway Wood includes a powerful SP700 beta titanium face insert that takes Exotics fairway wood superiority to a whole new level. Tour Edge engineers used SP700 over other types of titanium because of its higher elongation figure. This property allows SP700 to impart more spring upon impact and deliver more energy to the golf ball, thus increasing distance. In addition, the Tour Edge Exotics XCG-4 Fairway Wood features Tour Edge's new Boomerang face design that includes multiple levels of variable-face thickness. By thinning and thickening the face, the v-shaped boomerangson the Exotics XCG-4 Fairway Wood allow for the maximum elongation of the titanium for enhanced feel and rebound.
